Southern Car Club Grass Autotest Is Go

Southern's next promoted event is on Sunday September 17th at Gosden House School near Guildford.

Clerk of the Course, Robert Pike, promises us a fun filled day, and you only need a car and your Club Card to enter.

There will be a barbecue beautifully cooked by your Chairman - (can't cook will cook Smith), the weather will be stunning and as it is all in a grass paddock it will be non-car damaging!

AGM On The Horizon

The Club's Annual General Meeting on Monday 18th September is at the Reigate Manor Hotel-start time is 9.00pm.

Now this is your opportunity to put your point of view to all the Club Officials, so don't miss out. If you cannot be bothered to attend , then don't complain about what happens with your club.

Avon Park A Major Success

The Poole Car Centre Stages in association with Racetec, promoted by Southern at Avon Park, near Bournemouth was a round of two regional Championships and attracted an excellent field of 70 cars (including two MG Metro 6R4's, two Ford Escort WRC's and a clutch of Subaru's), who provided a superb days sport for the one-hundred plus marshals & officials (yes really 100 plus!)

A very well done to those SCC members who picked up trophies, and commiserations to Richard & Christine Betts whose Subaru looked a bit second-hand after an unseemly roll into the surrounding scenery!

Great Barbecue Fun For All

The annual SCC BBQ was changed in format for the millennium celebrations, reverting to a more friendly and club-orientated event, which proved to be a great success for the seventy or so attendees.
