Roger Binyon/Ian Everett
set off on the Rally Cwm Gwyndraeth in fine style, using one of Dave Appleby's many spare DAMs. Unfortunately a driveshaft interfered with a radiator hose on the first stage and a retirement was in order to avoid a huge engine rebuild bill.
Neil Cloughley
is still finalising his plans for the season, hoping to do 5 events from a range of championships.
Graham Davey
will definitely be out on the Valentine Scatter but the driver has yet to be confirmed.
Ian Harden/Vanessa Linley
have been sharing Maxi Green for Borough 19's PCT at Gordon's Field in Dorking. Pre-event briefing by the proud owner went "it has no brakes, it stalls and there's an oil leak".
"So", Vanessa concluded, "when you go up you can't start and when you go down you can't stop".
They still managed a good finish, with Vanessa 11th out of 17 in class and Ian 13th.
Sue Orchard/Graham Morris
are getting ready for the Cheviot as the first round of the EARS/MN and will then be off to the Circuit of Ireland.
Catherine Phillipson
is still trying to organise a warm-up event before setting off for the Vauxhall International with Dick Archer, although this is looking increasingly unlikely.
Richard Phillipson/Catherine Phillipson
are out on the Wyedean in early February, running as car G21 in the new numbering system. In an attempt to be fair to all, the two BTRDA championships will both be numbered from car 1 - the Gold Stars with a G prefix and the Silver Stars with an S prefix. (Possible idea here for Groups N and A in internationals??)
James Potter
is also out on the Wyedean, navigating for Polli Patti in a Mk II Escort with a Cosworth engine. They found it a bit rough last time and are hoping that it will be dry this year.
James is also working hard to get the car ready in time for the Winter Rally, but this is looking increasingly unlikely...
