PRESS RELEASE Regulations are now available for the RALLYE SUNSEEKER, the first round of the 1999 Mintex National Rally Championship, which will see the cream of British national rallying talent converging on Bournemouth for the one-day, 220-mile event.
Entries, which will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis, are limited to 120 and, as a qualifying round of four major championships, the Rallye Sunseeker is bound to prove very popular. The entry fee is £465 and the closing date for acceptance of entries is 5th February.
Subjective route notes have been compiled by Rob Arthur and will be available in a variety of formats to all competitors to suit their individual needs. The former British Champion Co-driver conducted his survey shortly before Christmas and comments that all the stages are in very good condition. He will also be in Bournemouth to answer any queries that may arise prior to the start.
The 1999 Rallye Sunseeker will see a brand new six-mile stage in Somerley Park, to be run twice, added to the itinerary and it is here that there will be special facilities laid on for corporate hospitality.
Rally FM Radio which will be broadcasting on 107.7 and will have a wider transmission area as it follows the event throughout the day.
